Declare energy independence

April 22nd is the 40th anniversary of Earth Day - and the stakes
have never been higher. In the coming weeks, the Senate will
decide the fate of desperately-needed climate change and clean
energy legislation.

But unless we act now to protect it, this long-overdue bill
could be weakened or even killed by Big Oil and Dirty Coal, who
will stop at nothing to prevent it from becoming law.

Will you join me in calling on the Senate to demand energy
independence this Earth Day? Click below to add your name to the
Earth Day Revolution:

The goal is to show the Senate we mean business by delivering
hundreds of thousands of signatures demanding energy
independence on Earth Day. What more fitting time could there be
to make our stand than a day dedicated to recognizing the
fragility of our planet and the importance of protecting our
environment for generations to come?

This year, more than ever, Earth Day must be a time to create
real and lasting change.

Join me in demanding that the Senate pass comprehensive clean
energy and climate legislation:

Once you've signed the declaration, please help us spread the
word via email, Facebook and Twitter.

Thanks for you help in starting a clean energy revolution!
