No Joke - Zygote Vote

Subject: No Joke - Zygote Vote

Dear Daniel,

We couldn't make this stuff up. The Kansas City Star reports that over 300 anti-choice activists are currently gathering signatures for a ballot initiative that would amend the Missouri Constitution to give "personhood" rights to fertilized eggs.

If enacted, abortion would be banned in Missouri, women could potentially be prosecuted for suspicious miscarriages, and emergency contraception may be outlawed.

These zealots want to give constitutional rights to zygotes. What about women's constitutional rights?

Help us stop this attack:

(1) Be our eyes and ears! If you see or hear of anyone collecting signatures for the so-called "personhood" ballot initiative, let us know. We want to know where and when!

(2) Join us for our "Who Decides?" Lobby Day - the last one of the 2010 legislative session. This is your chance to tell lawmakers that Missourians do not need any more laws attacking women's health and privacy.

"Who Decides?" Lobby Day
Wednesday, April 28, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
(Free buses leave St. Louis at 7:30 am and return around 5:00 pm)
Capitol, Jefferson City, MO

RSVP via email or call 314-531-8616.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Pamela Sumners, Esq.
Executive Director
